The tragic death of Nipsey Hussle shocked the entire nation, making it harder for them to digest the fact that a person with such integrity was shot multiple times in public. Nipsey Hussle Memorial is expected to have thousands of people across the nation and the family was in search of venues which are capable of accommodating more than 15,000 mourners. Nipsey’s family, finally agreed on hosting the memorial service at Staples Centre.
In Los Angeles, there are only 2 venues which could accommodate the massive crowd, The Forum in Inglewood and the Staples Center in Downtown L.A. Michael Jackson’s memorial service was actually held at the Staples Center. Now the same venue will host Nipsey’s memorial service as well.
Nipsey had a huge impact on the community and he was considered to be one among the most humble personalities which accounted for his massive fanbase in L.A.
Nipsey’s shooter was tracked down by the Los Angeles Police Department and it was later on identified as Eric Holder, a former acquaintance of Nipsey. Police officials believe that the two had a dispute prior to the shooting. LAPD released an official statement on Tuesday evening following Eric’s arrest.
“Eric Holder, the suspected killer of Nipsey Hussle, has been arrested and is in police custody,” the LAPD tweet read. “Thank you to both our community for the heightened awareness/vigilance and our partners at @LASDHQ.”
Nipsey will surely be missed by many and the Grammy-nominated, multi-faceted rapper will be remembered for his remarkable contributions to the community. His memorial service will be held on Thursday and the sources predict as much as 21,000 people turning up for the event. Tickets will be sold for the event through a website (currently unknown). Only ticket holders will gain admission.
